Can you imagine, in the highly competitive world of automobiles, that a company could bring out a particular model and continue to sell it, virtually unchanged except for a new and improved price, of course , for 20 years? This little pocket rocket was introduced in , updated for , and that same bike sold for 20 model years, essentially unchanged, through Now finally, Kawasaki has introduced a new, updated Ninja R, and it invited the press to take it out for a mile day last spring. The bike is really a pleasure to drive. The engine has quite much torque for a cc, especially the fuel injected model you can buy in Europe. The fuel economy, agility and the price are all spot on. The only downside with the "Ninjette" is the bodywork that has not been made for My legs don't fit well into the reserved dents on the sides, making riding fast somewhat uncomfortable. I learned to ride and got my endorsement in March I was set on the R Ninja from the moment I saw it.

Performance wise The handling is crisp, predictable, and one of the standout NOt only is it affordable, not only is it downright sexy, not only does it get good gas mileage, it can rip a corner like nothing else. Easily chuckable round the corners and ride comfort is fine, im commuting miles aday and no complaints from my rear. The four new valves per cylinder get thinner heads to reduce reciprocating mass, and to increase flow. Anyways, Im glad I have my Ninja Brakes Front Brake Type. It keeps up with traffic, can win some traffic light GPs if you rev the nuts off it and slip the clutch, and feels eager and just a little sporty without scrunching you up or threatening to highside or lose the rear on every bend exit. This Kawasaki is still a motorbike that's capable of breaking the speed limit. I don't think they are as bad as they believe, but then I remember the JapLop tyres that I had on my Superdream back in the mists of time. Great looking bike with no power!
