Amy Gray is a New York attorney who is recently divorced with a 6 year old daughter. At a college reunion she allows her name to be submitted for an opening in ranks of Juvenile Court judgeship. Amy has a killer day at the court docket layed out before her. It's a series of fast cases which must be decided in fifteen minutes a piece. Amy is faced with her first jury case when the parents of a young girl who was murdered by her boyfriend decide to sue the boys parents for a monetary settlement.
