Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis. Funding consideration will be based on a variety of factors including financial need, project merit, and availability of funds from alternative sources. The grants are intended to provide financial assistance for needs above and beyond the normal cost of medical school. For example, many students are obtaining acceptances to meetings to present research. This is a big expense and frequently not covered by a research mentor, department, or financial aid package.
