The company as a whole provided excellent benefits and competitive pay. Doing this exposed me to other departments allowing me to gain more knowledge in the mortgage industry. Lack of growth opportunities as the company moved away from default loan servicing and moved more towards purchase of new loans. This changed drastically reduced the opportunity for growth within the local area. I liked the work and working with the VP's. They made me feel like I was an important part of the team. Unfortunately, the department was moved to the main office in New York and my job was dissolved. Buying a house is a real snap when working for a bank the size of Chase. Some colleagues get away with not doing much work while others have to put in the extra time to work. Managers are slackers that don't really care about your career growth but act as if they do. Getting a promotion is nearly impossible because you'll be promised you'll have career growth to promote but that will never happen!
