The five-year-old restaurant has confirmed it will close up shop and relocate in Midtown, reports the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The new address will allow Joy Cafe to roughly double in size and offer al fresco dining on a large patio. Joy Beber, co-owner and namesake of the restaurant, told the ABC she and her husband have to vacate their current space at Pharr Rd. NE because it's going to be razed as part of a redevelopment project. The Bebers were hoping to stay in Buckhead, but they reportedly were discouraged by high rent prices in the neighborhood.

This place did not open that long ago, and I believe they are just not working out their brunch menu. Although they have some kinks to work out, the food is absolutely amazing, the staff are friendly, and the environment is chill. Very different vibe to Joy's, which was in that location for years, but a great addition to midtown. May We ate here after a family graduation, and everything was absolutely perfect. We were seated immediately, and our server was absolutely the best. The noise level was not overwhelming, so we were able to enjoy conversation amongst the 8 of us.
