Looking at a few jon boats by me- seeing several 14 foot models ranging from 50" to 55" beam width from top of rail to other rail in middle of boat - do you suggest I go with minimum of a 60" beam rail to rail measuring across the top or is a 55" beam width model suitable for decking out a jon boat making it into a mini bass boat? Most concerned with stability and trying not to find out I built a boat that was too narrow beam width wise Or do guys feel a 14ft v hull is better suited for a conversion boat? I think a Tracker Grizzly is the perfect size. I used angle and box aluminum for the frame with ss rivets and marine plywood for the decks. Tracker
