James "Jim" Moriarty was the world's only "consulting criminal"; a stark contrast to his arch nemesis is Sherlock Holmes ' similarly unrivaled "consulting detective" occupation. In , when he was 13 years old, Moriarty murdered Carl Powers , whom he claimed "laughed at him". He kept Powers' trainers almost twenty years until he used the shoes as part of his plan to meet Sherlock Holmes and had them planted in the disused flat at C Baker Street. From that point onwards he developed and trained his skills at criminal activities and went on to create a large criminal organisation which would stretch across the whole globe. Andrew Scott born 21 October is an Irish actor. His mother was an art teacher, while his father worked at an employment agency. At 17, Scott was chosen for a starring role in his first film Korea. He won a bursary to art school, but elected to study drama at Trinity College Dublin , leaving after six months to join Dublin's Abbey Theatre and then moving to London when he was Scott made his acting film debut in the Irish drama Korea which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
