Jewel of the Seas made its debut in spring Measuring 90, tons and carrying a maximum of 2,plus passengers, it was the fourth and final limb on Royal Caribbean's Radiance-class family tree. This ship is ideal for cruisers who don't go in for bells and whistles, but instead prefer a traditional cruising experience. One thing to bear in mind when deciding whether to pick Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas is that, as mellow as it feels on sea days, there can still be some 2, plus passengers onboard, jewel of the seas opiniones.
This will be my first time going on this cruise line so I was excited. I will talk all about the amenities aboard and things to do and of course talk about the food and if it was any good, and explore the 5 destinations of Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, St Lucia, and St Maarten. The adventure started bright and early in Phoenix, AZ. The first leg of the flight took me to Charlotte where I had a short layover, just enough time to get some lunch. After 3 or 4 hours I had made it to Puerto Rico. I met my friends and we went to our Airbnb and then explored Puerto Rico the next day. Old San Juan is amazing you need to check it out if you ever go.

This was my first and last cruise. I am at loss for words… As a first time cruiser I had a lot of things to learn. Just suck that it came at such an expensive price! The only reason they got a 2 is because the service was good and our room was made everyday just like we like it. Read More. After reading all the negative reviews I almost did not book this old ship! I am picky, really picky and I am a true "Karen". I booked he one bedroom Owner's suite cabin. This cabin was on deck 10 and near the elevator, which after pulling a hamstring days before the cruise was extremely helpful. The towels were not exactly fluffy and yes the hot water handle fell off when I turned it on, Booked this cruise because of the itinerary. I planned on visiting friends in both Barbados and Tobago, which I did. The only problem with the itinerary is the San Juan departure port which is cumbersome to get to. The Jewel although one of RCI's older ships was clean and well maintained and really doesn't show her age.

That means there can be a bit of a crush in ports where you need to take a tender to shore. Another downside is that you have to cough up for quite a few additional expenses, such as specialty coffees and room service. Deck 5 is home to the Centrum, the heart of the ship. Deck 6 is where passengers can find most specialty restaurants and the casino, along with a few other features, including the cinema, and a handful of bars. Cabins are spread across multiple decks, but only two of them decks 8 and 9 are sandwiched between room-only decks.

Overall, that's what I'd say about the cruise--ok. This was our 1st cruise, but we were with seasoned cruisers. We were soured by the surprise charges.
