Portsmouth University is weighing up whether to rename a hall of residence dedicated to a Nobel prizewinner after claiming black people are genetically less intelligent. James Watson is definitely one of the more social halls in Portsmouth! What it may lack in appearance it certainly is made up in character. I'm glad I chose JW. Any maintenance requests I've had have been solved quickly, I can't fault the staff. Amazing location near uni buildings, town centre and nightlife. Having an en suite was so nice and it's such a sociable halls as you are near so many bars and clubs so people want to come to you for pres! Awesome location and unite were so good when anything maintenance-wise went wrong.
Greetham Street Hall is next to Portsmouth and Southsea railway station, and just up the road from Guildhall Walk where you'll find bars, restaurants and music venues. The main shopping areas Commercial Road and Cascades are within easy reach, and the University is just a 10 minute walk away. Not to mention how disgusting everything is, the stairs in A block smell of pee and the walls and carpets are all stained, the ovens are old and only just work and the plugs in the rooms are dodgy and if you try to use more than one plug or the Hoover it flicks the fuse switch.
