Warning: Contains spoilers for One Piece chapter After 25 years, One Piece finally reveals just how powerful Shanks really is. Ever since the early days of One Piece , Shanks has stood out as one of the more enigmatic figures, with the story doing very little to give explicit showings of his power and motivations. A lot of that has to do with how Shanks has had very little screen time since his debut, but regardless, the series has notoriously never given Shanks a true moment to shine. As of One Piece chapter , however, all of that changed in a big way. Shanks finally gets a proper chance to show off his power, and he does it in one of the biggest ways possible when he takes out Kid with a single attack, immediately kickstarting the destruction of the Kid Pirates as a whole. During the Wano arc, Kid was established as a top-tier fighter for not only being able to hold his own against Big Mom, but for how he was able to eventually defeat her with help from Law. With that in mind, if Shanks could so easily defeat Kid, then that would logically make Shanks stronger than Big Mom and one of the stronger members of the Four Emperors. The idea of Shanks being one of the strongest Emperors is even stronger when Kaido is taken into account. Considering how much the series had been building up Shanks finally taking on an active role, his having that sort of ranking would be more than appropriate. The exact power levels of characters like Blackbeard and the admirals are also unknown, so as it stands, there are plenty of people who could at least hold their own against Shanks. Of course, if anyone has a chance of beating Shanks, then it would have to be Luffy. Not only have the full abilities of Luffy's Gear 5 in One Piece not been explored yet, but since Shanks is someone Luffy has to defeat to become the Pirate King, there almost certainly has to come a point where Luffy definitively surpasses Shanks.
Roger, is shanks strong, the Pirate King. There is no denying that Kaido is the strongest pirate alive in the One Piece world, and he's been repeatedly mentioned to be just that by people and even Eiichiro Oda himself. It is believed the two fought on several occasions in the past and every single duel between these men was great enough to ring across the Grand Line.
Shank is one of the few prominent characters beside Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Dragon whose abilities and powers are not fully revealed yet. When we first saw him with Luffy in the first episode and we see little of his fighting skills, mostly just his spirit, which he demonstrates against Higuma and then to the Sea King where, he shows his Haki. Then after 10 years, with only one arm left, he is been visited by Mihawk on an island. We all know Mihawk is the best swordsman in the One Piece world.
One Piece has finally explained the reason why Red-Haired Shanks is considered one of the strongest pirates in the world. The character, who inspired the series protagonist Luffy to become a pirate, is still shrouded in mystery, despite making his debut in the very first chapter of the series. However, a promotional booklet written by One Piece author Eiichiro Oda explains Shanks' fearsome reputation as one of the most powerful pirates. Not too long after that, Shanks gave the biggest showcase of his powers in the manga, further explaining his fearsome reputation. After the first chapter, Shanks did not appear in the series for a very long time. When they made their way to the Grand Line, Luffy and the Straw Hats learned that Shanks had become one of the Yonko the four most powerful pirates in the world. It was also revealed that he was an apprentice on the ship of the legendary Pirate King Gol D. While he was never shown fighting, Shanks' strength was teased to be on the same level as powerhouses such as Whitebeard or Kaido.

The person who inspired Luffy to become a pirate is Shanks. Shanks is currently the strongest Conqueror Haki user in the One Piece series. Shanks is the emperor of the sea whose power level is equal to that of Kaido, Big Mom, and Black Beard. He leads the Red-Haired Pirates , whose strength is based on the pure raw power of Haki. His crew excels in using Haki; the most prominent user in his crew is Ben Beckman and Yasopp.

For decades now, Shanks has remained a bag of mysteries to the fans, appearing only on rare occasions. New posts. Red-Haired Shanks is one of One Piece's most important characters, being introduced into the story in the very first chapter. If Oda's Jump Festa message from is to be believed, Shanks is making his move next, meaning the time for the two to clash could be soon. With that in mind, if Shanks could so easily defeat Kid, then that would logically make Shanks stronger than Big Mom and one of the stronger members of the Four Emperors. This is fun luffy and Shanks are loda's favorite characters but they are weaker than zoro and mihawk nik After all, Shanks has risen to the position of Yonko without any Devil Fruits. Despite not having a Devil Fruit power, Shanks is an extremely powerful pirate with skill that far surpasses most in the One Piece world. So Shanks challenged everyone after the war: the three Admirals, the Fleet Admiral, overshadowed old school player Garp, Blackbeard who had the strongest Logia and strongest Paramecia , but yet no one stepped forward! He carries a sword with him and, although not confirmed, it appears to be one of the Saijo o Wazamono grade swords. Over a decade after the Marineford war arc, fans still haven't seen a glimpse of what he is capable of in combat, however, with the story closer to its end than ever, the answers might not be too far away now. During the Wano Country Arc, he released a massive burst of Haoshoku Haki that paralyzed Admiral Ryokugyu, who was near the Flower Capital; whereas Shanks never left the Red Force, which was miles outside of Wano, stopping him in his tracks without needing to step foot into the country.

Inheriting Roger's very own Straw Hat, Shanks was automatically special, to begin with. With the Wano Country arc close to ending, however, Shanks could very well be established as the strongest pirate alive in One Piece , after all. Since Shanks doesn't rely on any Devil Fruit power, it is only natural to assume that he makes use of high-level Haki in combat, which has been alluded to on several occasions in the story so far. That's why his Haki is the strongest. In fact, the two even clashed and Shanks proved to be quite a match for the World's Strongest Man. His card says that Benn is incredible powerful in terms of physical combat. It's also quite interesting to note that Shanks has a bounty of 4,,, berries despite becoming a Yonko only six years ago. As of One Piece chapter , however, all of that changed in a big way. As such, The story cannot allow for Shanks to be any weaker than Kaido, and at best, his powers might as well surpass that of the man who was known to be the strongest creature on land, sea, and air, making him a menace of his own. Shanks' strength is quite difficult to gauge when compared to the other pirates since he has rarely ever appeared in the story and he is barely ever seen in action. Introduced to the fans in the very first chapter of the series, Shanks has had somewhat of a limited role in the role since. Of course, if anyone has a chance of beating Shanks, then it would have to be Luffy. The exact power levels of characters like Blackbeard and the admirals are also unknown, so as it stands, there are plenty of people who could at least hold their own against Shanks.
