From his Nen type to his curious relationship with Hisoka, there are some bits of information that all fans need to know. Following the death of Uvogin, the Phantom Troupe needed an effective replacement who could fill the powerful enhancer's boots. Uvogin was a frontline fighter and, although an exact replacement wasn't necessary, the Troupe desired someone who could add to their offensive arsenal. Hisoka asked Illumi if he could join the Troupe, to which Illumi agreed. The Zoldyck assassin was a no-brainer for the Phantom Troupe, and he easily ranks as one of the strongest Troupe members.
