Anyone who has anything negative to say about this restaurant has the wrong attitude or expectations. Finest food and service in an atmosphere that epitomizes old fashioned, elegant, intimated NYC Italian dining. One of our best dining experiences ever. September Look, I get that there are newer more trendy Italian restaurants in the city and I fell prey to trying a lot of them over the past few years. But that doesn't mean the newer ones are the best. In fact, while it may no longer be cool to say it, Il Mulino remains the best in the city, and to me its not close. The place is quintessential NYC old school Italian.
