This is subverted in the new timeline due to Yulan being aware of Violette's fate in the previous timeline along with the role Claudia partially played in it, he has decided that he needs to be the one that makes Violette happy, even becoming annoyed when Claudia becomes attracted to Violette. She was originally an Alpha Bitch and a bitter jerk towards her half-sister in the original timeline. In the new timeline, Violette eventually ceases her pursuit of him after realizing she didn't really love him. One of my favorite light novels I've read so far! Everyone Has Standards : Despite his initial dislike towards Violette, he did briefly feel some level of sympathy for her after she mentions that the people she spent time with are unlikely to bother associating with her anymore due her family situation causing her to no longer be considered a potential connection for them. I also appreciated the fact that the author did her best to make the other characters more than their usual, often caricatured roles. While Violette still feels a degree of anger in the second timeline, she is able to tame it more. Rate this book. Past-Life Memories : While it is hinted at before, it is confirmed in Volume 3 of the Light Novel and Volume 4 of the manga that Yulan remembers the original timeline like Violette, including what ultimately happened to Violette because of Claudia and her family.
