Tried HP support but they were exceedingly difficult to understand and couldn't grasp the problem. HP support insisted that I reset my laptop to factory install but this is a work computer and has several licensed packages on it as well as MS Office Pro and a month of work files. It would take me forever to reinstall everything software and data on a wholesale basis like this. More over, doing so would accomplish nothing since the the first time I started the reset computer it would run a series windows updates and I'd be right back to where I am now. HP support isn't trained to troubleshoot problems.
