William Afton is never really believed to have died for good, but he died as a human inside the Spring Bonnie suit, his soul becoming trapped and his body slowly degrading. After he became Springtrap , he is said to being crushed by his own invented device, the Funtime animatronics and also with the use of Amalgamation who grabbed him and the endoskeletons who took him into a furnace, managing to destroy his body.
