Aemond and his dragon Vhagar finally arrived, and the two battled on their dragons above the largest lake in the Seven Kingdoms in a battle known as the Battle Above the Gods Eye. Daemon drove his sword Dark Sister into Aemond's blind eye in a moment of heroism, jumping from Caraxes to Vhagar. The dragons crashed into the Gods Eye, where Caraxes crawled to the shore and died there. Years later, Aemond and Vhagar's bodies were discovered, whereas Daemon was never found.
