I found an amazing product that I am super excited to share with you that will fix mismatched electrical outlets and electrical outlet covers. When we moved into our s home there were several major and minor things that needed updating.
I have multiple locations where one HS switch is installed next to another one. The wall plate that comes with the switch is single gang. I have tried the usual Decora screwless 2-gang wall plate but these switches pop out of the wall much further than normal switches so standard plates do not work. There is a large gap between the plate and the wall. Through luck, I found these on Amazon because of a review that a user left.

A couple of months ago The Lady and I came to the realization that we had painted the walls and woodwork in every room in our home except for the master bedroom. Our house was built in the 's and this means beige and brown decor. Thus, our bedroom was just about the most depressing of any of the rooms in our home. We set about to remedy this post haste! We began by painting the walls a pleasant sage green and changing the woodwork from a dark brown stained pine to a contrasting French Cream. When it came time to change out the light switch plates, I thought I'd make a few in the Steampunk style. Step one was to gather material, so I dumped out my box of small brass bits and fished through them for some likely candidates. These have been lovingly collected over the years from many sources, but most came from our town dump. The brass lightswitch covers came from Home Depot. Note to self: be sure to look closely at the packaging. The first batch I bought turned out to be "brass plated" and the "brass" came off when I applied the paint stripper to remove the clear protective varnish. I set them aside and went back to buy some solid brass replacements. The "brass plated" covers appeared to be nickel plated under the yellow varnish, so I will attempt to electrolytically copper plate those some other time. I tried a couple of different methods of soldering.

Light switch covers are wall plates that cover the switch mechanism and electrical wiring that operate the installed electrical fixtures. Their primary function is to protect the wiring and prevent electrocution, and most have a plain design that blends in. However, there are lots of different designs, types, and combinations that combine form, function, and even fashion. Standard light switch cover plates, which are the most commonly used, measure 2. There are two larger sized, preferred midsized and oversized jumbo , which have a larger area to cover holes and imperfections. These covers measure 3. Light switch covers have six main classes: size, style, number of gangs, material, color, and configuration. These classes can overlap based on the unit being housed, the setting, and the location aesthetic. The precise dimensions of a given light switch cover plate are determined by one or more of the different classes. The basic standard-sized light switch cover is the most widely used cover plate— found in every electrified building.

Regardless of the way they looked I was adamant on having white outlet covers so I was willing to live with the look.
