Residents will have the opportunity to rotate through areas of Critical Care located at our main Hospital in Fitzroy, a number of our partner Hospitals across Melbourne and regional opportunities as well, hmo3 critical care. Over the year you will develop your skills in vascular access, airway management and respiratory, cardiovascular and renal support. You will have the opportunity to meet foundation requirements for entry into the CICM training program and have access to our well-established ICU education program as well as opportunities to participate in research and quality improvement. The ICU is a 20 bed mixed medical and surgical hmo3 critical care including cardiothoracic and neurosurgical intensive care services admitting patients per year.

Each candidate who has accepted an offer of employment for the upcoming clinical year has the opportunity to list any rotation preferences, leave requests and any other requirements prior to the upcoming allocation being finalised. Please note: Austin Health offers multi-year contracts for succcessfully matched HMO2 candidates candidates will have the option to accept a one, two or three year appointment, depending on their training stream.
