Visit PetRescue TV! Halls Head Small Animal Clinic is pleased to be able to offer stray cats a second chance at finding a forever home. If no owner can be found for our strays, we will perform any vet work needed, including desexing, microchipping, vaccination and flea and worm treatment. All of our adoption animals are behaviourally assessed and we would love to have a chat to you to see if one of our cats is suitable! If you are interested in any of our cats, it is best to call the clinic - we can organise a time for you to come in and chat to one of our nurses as well as meet the cat. We will have a chat to you about your home and what you're looking for in a cat to see if we can match you up with one of our current adoptees. We are also more than happy to answer questions in regards to introducing a cat to existing pets, helping them settle in and recommendations for general care. If the match is successful, you can typically take the cat home the same day. We always encourage you to get in touch with the clinic, either by phone or Facebook, to let us know how your new cat is doing. Please let our receptionists know if the matter is urgent so we can attend to your pet as soon as possible. All dogs need to be on a lead for their own protection and that of other animals. Cats should be secured in an appropriate cat carrier crate. We do require you to fill out and sign a consent form. It is important that the correct contact details are checked. A full physical exam is performed on your pet by one of our vets prior to administering any pre-medication drugs. A pre-anaesthetic blood test is recommended to assure proper kidney and liver function, adequate oxygen carrying capacity of the red blood cells and to ensure adequate platelet levels for blood clotting.
