I would like to ask which class is, in your opinion, the easiest to play, while bringing something to the team, so a boomer like me can be useful without needing to much skills. For open world PvE, all classes have the ability to be played without having much skill. Its less about the learning class mechanics and more about learning the monsters and world around you and having the proper gear. So don't limit yourself to just what could be considered the 'easiest', instead you should find the class that you really enjoy playing. That said, there are definitely more forgiving classes in the game than others. The easiest classes to learn in the game would probably be Warrior , Ranger and Necromancer. All of these classes are fairly simple in their class mechanics and are built with naturally high HP and tankiness meaning they can withstand a beating. Generally, you'll want to avoid using Elementalist or Engineer as your first class. Both these classes have fairly complicated class mechanics that limit their skill uses and more in the Elementalists case are pretty punishing if you don't play correctly. They'll take a bit of time to learn and are built more fragile then the other three classes, but don't have as steep as a learning curve as Elementalist or Engineer. But like I said, if you really enjoy a class, you can make a build that can help you play it more effectively. The easiest build to play is probably staff mirage. Mesmer is not among the easiest classes to play generally, but this particular build generates the majority of its damage, defense, and boon support simply by using dodge and auto-attack.

Uh I think 2 class is the most needed like backbone of fractal is Healbrand and Alacren. Unless you're doing sunqua peak often there's no reason to run any condi build anywhere other than condi firebrand.

In summary, the Ranger is an easy profession to learn, deals a significant amount of damage, and has a pet that can offer both offense and defense.
