The weapon makes up for this, however, by being able to deal piercing damage, ignoring Salmonid armor including the Steel Eel's splash walls. It can even go through the ground, which means that you can hit the Maws when its underground. A direct hit from this weapon deals a total of points of damage which with the special ability, can be useful for taking out bosses. This weapon works very well on Flyfishes because they can be splatted in a single hit with good aim by hitting the pilot. Since the ink consumption of this weapon is so high, it may be a good boss-slaying weapon, but taking care of the lesser Salmonids will be a challenge since you may waste all your shots and only hit one of them. You have to mostly rely on your coworkers for inking turf and protection.
