Kato Gouves, Pediados. Gouves Waterpark Holiday Resort. Great food! I loved this hotel, there are so many separate pool areas you can always get a sun bed, the food particularly the gyros and chips were amazing, we are still missing them now! Evening entertainment was good and varied. Staff were very friendly and the rooms clean and spacious. Shopping in Heraklion was brilliant and worth the trip. Would never return to this hotel, ever! Don't bank on Jet2 to assist you after returning either. Rooms were filthy in block Stay clear!! Pools were great, giros and stone baked pizzas were the highlight of the holiday. There are a large number of swimming pools. Very copious and multivariate buffet. BUT very disappointed with the cleanliness, the rooms, the hygiene ants in the room very old bathroom.

I requested that we all stay in rooms near to each other unfortunately my youngest 2 sons were at complete opposite ends of the complex. Don't have an account yet?

My father who is disabled came with us and after explaining the room allocated was not suitable as there were too many steps fir him they relocated to a suitably placed room for him. Gouves is centrally located and is a good base for exploring the island. In Gouves there are plenty of nice restaurants and tavernas. Compared to other resorts on the north coast of Crete Gouves is a quiet place. Although there are some nice bars here, for the real nightlife one would be better going to Hersonissos or Heraklion. The water park for the little ones was very good but the water was extremely cold. The kids greatly enjoyed the water slides, kids disco and other entertainment for kids in the evening.
