Gopro overheating
I just purchased my Hero 10 Black and I'm not very happy that this thing overheats in less gopro overheating 25 mins of usage. My 10 is about 1 month old and have been frustrated with the lack of usage due to overheating. Normal indoor usage at 4K 60 L began to overheat at 22 mins. It's 65 degrees F in my house, gopro overheating.
I've seen numerus posts here and elsewhere about how to deal with the known GoPro overheating issue. But here's my problem. I do extended recordings in warm conditions. By "extended" I mean hours straight using external power. I know external power can be a problem for overheating.

I'm planning to order a camera, but the still not decided which one should I ordedr Hero 11 or Action 3. I had Hero 9 with audio pops issues , but it was stolen, so I need new one. I read a lot of regarding overheating issue. I know, some of you will say, that's consumer problem, but still I had never had any issue with hero9 regarding this. Will it overheat in 4K 30fps and 2. Probably it will be the same as Hero Actually I don't need 5. But I need that it would be reliable on 4K 30fps and 2. I've owned a LOT of GoPro cameras and have many years of experience filming with them hence the reason I do a lot of trouble shooting tips for people. This is simply because I know how to film and set up my cameras, when and why to use certain frame rates and resolutions etc. If you had overheating issues with the Hero 10, then you'll likely have overheating issues with the Hero It's not a GoPro Problem, it's a user set up problem. GoPro have redesigned the thermal heatsink and updated the firmware on the Hero 11 to prevent this type of overheating, but at the end of the day a badly set up camera will overheat.
The camera was thereby encased in a foam windshield, gopro overheating. If GoPro would provide at least some credit for an exchange for my 11 for a 12 which hopefully solves these issuesI might think about it and gopro overheating faithful to GoPro, but they won't.

But anyways. Some you tubers appear to have success with them; but even on some of them I have seen the occasional problem occur with one of the 2 or 3 cameras they have running. Hence why the thread has not been removed. It's not a GoPro Problem, it's a user set up problem. I even got the correct memory card sugfested and formatted. I also took it kayaking and had it clipped to my vest, in a protective case. Most GoPro users will say yes; high temperatures will cause premature shut-off and stop the camera from filming. Set up incorrectly???? Very rarely you see someone come here to share with us how happy they are and how they got amazing holiday video from last summer. The reason you see only issues here on our site is because people with issues purposefully come to this forum to seek advice for their issues.

Yes, I am very unhappy with this extremely quick overheating. I have other nikon and sony cameras that do not get hot, except in very direct hot sunlight. My hero8 does not over heat exact same condition and the 11 which does. Same on my side: I can even live with 2,7 k and it does not overheat with 60FPS. Waterproof case. I just received a 1 replacement of 2 GoPro 11's been waiting for hours for support call back. Same here.
