Unlike it's current format, the Golden Buzzer's original purpose was to send an act right to judgement week, regardless of what the other judge's votes were. Heidi Klum used her golden buzzer for a Cyr wheel acrobatic duo called "The Birthday Boys," featuring Brad Henderson , who performed the act solo in the next round for Judgement Week. Neither of The Birthday Boys' performances were televised. All 3 acts were cut in Judgement Weeks. The act given Mel B 's Golden Buzzer this season, is unknown. In Season 10 , the Golden Buzzer format was changed.

In Series 10 a total of four golden buzzer acts made the finals. Freckled Sky was the only Golden Buzzer golden buzzer this season eliminated in the Quarterfinals.
