While these cards often have some outstanding artwork, some oddities are bound to be thrown in the mix. This is an example of a Jumbo Card and, fortunately, they aren't allowed in tournament play. Imagine entering a tournament and getting hit with a 1,power move? Not only is that move devastating, but the card itself has an enormous HP. Yeah, this card is outrageously overpowered, but it's fun to see Dialga, Rayquaza, and Groudon hanging out.

Interestingly, in the same series, there is a Hypno card that features a Clefairy in the background. This set is one of the rarest around, not to mention a shoo-in for some of the weirdest too. Between the clown-like expression on the Pokemon's face and the strange situation, you probably won't forget this card in a hurry. This Bunnelby card is rather psychedelic looking, which is almost fitting as it presents itself as an almost Alice in Wonderland-like card with Bunnelby taking on the role of the March Hare. Some of the artwork on TCG cards is enough to give any player pause for thought as they are nightmare fuel. This Regular print of the card probably has the weirdest design, with the Magikarp seemingly about to be swallowed by its partner and not particularly enjoying the prospect. Even more disturbing is that Grimer appears to be frightened at the sight of whoever is viewing the card. He eventually went on to work on some of the games, books, and even did the artwork for some of the TCG cards, such as the one shown above. It depicts a rather scary-looking Slowbro, which appears to have experiments being carried out on it, with some kind of hammer smashing down on a bulb that is attached to its head. The bottom of the card lists the illustrator as Q-rais. This Grimer card was part of the Aquapolis expansion that released in Rather than utilize the Pokemon's super cute design, the artist instead gave Eevee a really bizarre and unflattering expression that makes it rather less adorable. But every now and then, the artists get a little more creative and produce some hilariously funny cards that are sure to make players smile. These cards provide a break from the intense gameplay and allow players to have a good laugh at the expense of their opponents. While they may not be the most powerful cards in the game, they certainly add a unique and enjoyable aspect to the TCG.
