The Fritzing application is an Electronic Design Automation software with a low entry barrier, fritzing org, suited for the needs of makers and hobbyists. It offers a unique real-life "breadboard" view, and a parts library with many commonly used high-level components. Fritzing org makes it very easy to communicate about circuits, as well as to turn them into PCB layouts ready for production.
I do not recommend this. Use Kicad. It's not an on-ramp, it's a time-wasting distraction detour from your actual on-ramp. Every minute you spend figuring out how to do something in fritzing is a minute you could have spent figuring out the same thing in kicad, which you will end up doing eventually anyway , I promise you, garanteed. All this gets you is some badly designed boards and wasted time.

Fritzing is a printed circuit software that permits you to do beautiful Arduino sketch. Furthermore, you can export this one on a picture to use it as you want. To learn how to use this software, we recommend you our course on it! You can go to Fritzing website and download the last version. Nevertheless, you have to pay at least 8 euros to contribute to the developing team. This is the link to download the last version of Fritzing: here. Tinkercad is an online software which can be used to simulate your circuit for free. The second software is Flowcode. There are more components in Flowcode than Tinkercad. Furthermore you can try the software during 30 days for free.
Yes, KiCAD is the best if you're a beginner, want something free, and actually intend to go through the considerable effort of designing a PCB and have it fabricated for real. The simulator works on the breadboard and schematic views, fritzing org.
Fritzing is an open-source initiative [3] to develop amateur or hobby CAD software for the design of electronics hardware , intended to allow designers and artists to build more permanent circuits from prototypes. It was developed at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. The software was created with inspiration from the Processing programming language and the Arduino microcontroller [6] and allows a designer, artist, researcher, or hobbyist to document their Arduino-based prototype and create a PCB layout for manufacturing. The associated website helps users share and discuss drafts and experiences as well as to reduce manufacturing costs. Fritzing can be seen as an electronic design automation EDA tool for non-engineers: the input metaphor is inspired by the environment of designers the breadboard -based prototype , while the output is focused on accessible means of production.
This is a development version of Fritzing. Please create backups, use on a virtual machine, whatever you think secures your data. Do not use for production. That said, we trust our code enough to run it on our development machines. Please look if there is already an issue on github. Adding information to existing issues makes them much more likely to be fixed. Don't expect individual support, the idea of the development version is to enable collaboration by using a common known build. If you can provide useful information, this might help in raising the issue to the top of the backlog. It is not even a beta. It was not tested for any platform.

How to find courses on Fritzing? It is literally impossible to crash it. Notifications Fork Star 3. This includes information about how to compile and run the Fritzing app. Lots of prototypes built on stock Uno and available shields to do different things. Good points there about longevity. I think you mean a moo point? There is a ton of tutorials on youtube that do it end to end. Really cool! And I've already done one paid project on Flux. It's not a good teaching tool if it tells people to do stuff entirely the wrong way against every bit of engineering experience out there, which is exactly what it does. Let me tell you something, if software has autosave feature you can be almost certain it it steaming pile of shit.

Quite a rewarding experience. PS: I love the animation on the main page and how the mechanical engineer has no idea on what's going on! It's so simple it doesn't even let you design components! Would you mind sharing how long the queue for your Beta is? Then few weeks later as I was making more and more complex circuits I designed perfboard design tool and now I have everything I need. Breadboard view of a simple circuit, drawn with Fritzing. Every minute you spend figuring out how to do something in fritzing is a minute you could have spent figuring out the same thing in kicad, which you will end up doing eventually anyway , I promise you, garanteed. Ended using 3D model from KiCad in documentation and it was great! Designing circuits is now my happy place. I thought Fritzing was dead as a project. While I understand that the maintainers would like to be compensated for their time, it's not a good way to grow or maintain a userbase. You may want to start with through-hole and breadboards first, as it's easier to get into than SMT.
