The Civilization 6 Culture Victory is not a simple one. At least not on the surface. There's been a great deal of confusion how exactly it works right from the get go with Civ 6 - in fact even with Civ 5 it was something developer Firaxis had to wrestle with. Thanks to some good old fashioned mathematics from the community however, there is now, at last, enough information to put together a proper guide on how to win the Culture Victory , how to earn Foreign and Domestic Tourists , plus explaining how Tourism works , and how Culture affects it. We've assembled this guide based on a combination of in-game info, our own testing, and conversations we've held with Firaxis confirming some of the details. It's also worth noting the work done by the community, particularly CivFanatics forum user Victoria, found here. You can also find any of the formula mentioned in the game's. If you're looking for more resource-focused Civ 6 guides, meanwhile, we also have pages on how to earn Gold , how to earn Faith , and how to earn Science in Civ 6 , too. A quick note: we've refreshed out Civ 6 guides for the game's launch on Nintendo Switch, but just be aware that they contain information regarding the Rise and Fall DLC as well as the base game, which means some things only apply if you have that DLC! With that in mind, we need to know how to earn Foreign Tourists, but also how to earn Domestic Tourists - both so we can stop other Civs from earning them and make our lives easier, and so we can 'defend' against other Civs going for the Culture Victory with a large amount of Domestic Tourists of our own.

Have no shame in pillaging for units healing and keep producing the UU to maintain the military momentum. Eleanor , however, needs all the culture she can get considering how critical the Cold War and Cultural Hegemony civics are to her game, so feel free to build a lot of Chateaux in sub-optimal locations. Locked Question Fan selection advice - What did I forget? Normally we shall seek an economic alliance to a neighboring civ. Trade, the arts and the crafts would flourish under them, as well as religion well, Catholicism anyway and education — the University of Paris, or Sorbonne, was founded c. In high difficulties, city strikes can be deadly so make sure that our Grande Imperiale can deliver a decisive blow before getting near the cities. Then we can beeline to humanism. The government plaza can add adjacent bonus to all districts so it is better to place it adjacent to other districts, whilst we must leave a gap for Caza de Contratacion. Being somewhat distressed by the gap between the haves and have-nots, in that year the citizens of Paris stormed the Bastille in July and threw off the shackles of monarchy. Question i5 air cooler suggestions Latest: jacknail2 7 minutes ago. You have a competitor in gathering Great Works? At one stroke, modern France was created and its longest reigning dynasty from this date to , with a few unfortunate interruptions installed. That is horribly true for any wonder-building France, and it may turn a late game very boring as the spies are no longer useful in speeding up a cultural victory. Obtain a eureka boost which the target civ has and you don't. It is all about snowballing: once you are able to conquer one neighbor city, it will trigger a domino effect to every nearby one. Afterwards, we may choose Exploration to unlock the Merchant republic or directly beeline natural history. If the city centre is more than 9 tiles from any rival city, so getting Great Works there quickly is unimportant When your existing Archaeological Museums are already full of artefacts but there's still accessible Antiquity Sites around When you lack Great Works of Art Cities with higher production and can afford to quickly get Archaeologists trained. France's leaders all offer a wonder-centric approach to a cultural victory, but with substantial differences in how exactly that plays out.
