Well, firstly, it is always buzzing. There is little chance of getting one of the comfy armchairs in the large drinking-only bar area but we do manage one of the few remaining tables in the one of the two cosy dining rooms. The bar boasts a range of cask ales amongst all the usual brands and there is a wine list with enough styles and prices to keep those preferring the grape happy. The Fox is food-led with a menu that offers more than just the expected bar classic and the food ordered was freshly cooked and was amongst the best I have eaten of late in a pub. Great to find a chain that finally gets what pubs are about, no wonder it is always busy. My parents recommended this place as a comforting place to eat and what a great recommendation it was. Me and my partner had a wonderful meal with the full lashings of starter, main and pudding. We stopped at the Holiday Inn which is just opposite to the Pub, and we visited this Pub Restaurant in April , I can only describe it as very good and reasonably priced, the staff were polite and attentive, there is a good selection of Thank you for reaching out to us. Then the two burgers came minus the onion rings so I mentioned to the bar man who said he would organise some as they had been forgotten them, Excellent value for money, excellent service, clean.
