To obtain the Sabre Cat Tooth, you will need to fight the beast and remove a tooth from its mouth. You won't get far with that. See my reply in post 13 below. Either way, I figured out the basic principle behind how the improvement work, so I will keep my eye on the formulas as I increase my smithing skill to know when to use my enchantments and potions to reach that next level.
