I certainly like to make both traditional quilts and rag quilts. A rag quilt is nice because it goes together quickly and also tends to be less expensive to make than a traditional quilt.

Time to start assembling your quilt! The fabric won't fray until you wash it, so do that right after you're done with your clipping. I have never made a rag quilt. I wash everything of like colors on warm with color catching sheets in the wash. Use limited data to select content. Otherwise, you may get a little pucker as you cross the first seam with the second seam. Sew all the way around the outside edges twice one half inch from edges. What was the approximate finished size of the quilt pictured?? I usually match my top thread with my fabric and my bobbin thread with my backing. The raw edges will just shed everywhere.
