Born Anxious is a homegrown clothing label with two objectives, to make the clothes as comfortable as possible, whilst also remaining planet friendly, and to hold important information that will aim to help not only the child, but also the caregiver as well when required. As an autism mum myself, I have thought about what could help me and other caregivers whilst trying to be as generic as possible within the designs, alongside giving those the opportunity to personalise their products as well. We are delighted to be collaborating globally with the Maass Family. Abbie always has a back pack on and we felt it would be cool if she had her very own squad backpack. They are available in 4 colours; grey, navy blue, black and green.

Today he currently works as an Emergency Dispatcher and photographer and serves as a fire department public affairs coordinator. In this special Father's Day feature, Phil discusses the joys and challenges that come with being a father with autism. Initially, when he found out he was going to be a dad, Phil struggled with the idea that his autism would hinder his ability to live up to the lofty expectations he had for himself. But when his son Bryce was born, Phil's paternal instincts kicked in and his fears quickly turned into an overwhelming feeling of pride and excitement for the journey ahead.

Fathering autism

Posted December 26, Reviewed by Vanessa Lancaster. Twenty-eight-year-old Cameron has high-functioning autism. College did not work out for him after four tries, and it has been hard for him to hold a job for over six months. He feels lost and alone in his consequent depression and anxiety. He lashes out at his parents and takes his frustrations out on them because, deep down, he knows there is a short list of people who will love him no matter what—his mom and dad are at the top of it! As a parent coach for people with struggling adult children, parents often consult me to better manage the demands of their adult children with autism spectrum disorder ASD. I've heard many stories during my over 30 years as a psychologist about the immense emotional pain that adult children on the spectrum and their parents have to face. Yes, there are adult children with ASD who can live productive and satisfying lives. Yet, very often, the challenges with thinking and feeling in ways that are usually not in sync with how most people experience the world around and within them—because they are living in a very different inner world—can be very overwhelming and stressful to adults on the spectrum. People are increasingly diagnosed with ASD.

  1. It is a pity, that now I can not express - I hurry up on job. I will return - I will necessarily express the opinion on this question.
