An organization calling themselves "Gamers United" has posted a petition on change. The reason? They hate that the game makes a villain out of religious white people. Change this, or cancel it. The entire petition, which at this point boasts almost signatures, seems almost too stereotypically "far-right conservative" to be real. We're thinking it may be a work of brilliant satire, especially because of lines like this one: "Us Gamers have had to endure a lot of crap over the last few years. Apparently, a group called Gamers United wants Ubisoft to cancel or make changes to the just announced Far Cry 5 and they have a petition circulating to that effect. Just change the villains to something more realistic. Islam is on the rise in America, as is the violence of inner city gangs. Even if you insist on making the villains American Christians, consider mixing the races a bit to not target white people exclusively. There are plenty of nationalists of every stripe and every race and creed. So throw in some blacks and Mexicans. Why stop being Politicaly correct here? Really, where are the facts that support that Islam is rising and inner city gangs are taking over? Last I checked, some of the most recent acts of violence seems to be coming from White nationalist groups against unarmed minorities , so please miss me with this. It just would not be fair to them at all. I guess we are going to skip the fact that the last few Ghost Recon games to be released by Ubisoft let you go about killing as many brown skinned people that you could possibly stand.
