This thing can measure power consumption. Is it by any chance possible to read out the measurements i supect not directly, as it uses thread and BT to communicate? Perhaps via an api or something?

The device is always reliably responsive via HomeKit, in HA unfortunately only the first 5 minutes after that it remains unavailable. I am running I went in to the integration and set WiFi credentials Why? I tried restarting HA. In the original video about Matter , there were some services used for adding provisioning devices, but those do not seem to be available anymore. I also got to this screen, it took a while but then I was able to add a name and my contact sensor appeared in HA. Edit: Ah, seems like I had to first set it into pairing mode via Apple Home app will give you a specific code. And then use this code inside the HA app to pair it… now the value changes in HA as well. But it still gets stuck on the screen above. Having said that it seems to to show up differently sometimes. I tried Nearby and received an error this time I believe this is the option I used in my screenshot in the previous post. So I tried the same device in the Other section and it asked for the pairing code. It also sat here for about 10 minutes without anything change.
Matter lets a device talk to Apple, Google, Amazon and other smart hubs without needing to be specifically certified for each ecosystem, and multiple ecosystems can simultaneously control a matter device. If all goes well, the secondary ecosystem will discover the new device and pair it. It was due to your prompting that I got to investigate routes, eve energy home assistant, so, like I said, I owe you one.
They report power only via Bluetooth. That way they use Thread to talk to each other. I then unpair them one by one from Homekit through the Eve app and consequently they will pop up in Home Assistant. Then disconnected and add into HA. They all report W permanent power consumption. I had the same issue at first. After I rebooted the server and physically unplugged the devices, the readings came through.

Hi, your Bluetooth have to be enabled. In the devices view. Thanks for your reply. However, when I try do add a new integration and use Bluetooth, I get the following message…. Home Assistant Is there a way to kick start the HA finding any new devices, or should a full restart be efficient enough? While you do that have your HA instance open to the integrations page. The just-unpaired Eve product should be discovered instantly.

It took a while something minutes , but the readings are good now. Meanwhile the thread networks in my environment advertise correctly under meshcop , one is Home Assistant Open Thread Router and the other is my Google Nest. And, the Matter 1. If the device goes unavailable in HA while it can be controlled in Apple Home controlled is key here as Apple Home does not mark the device unavailable realtime make sure that both HA and Apple are using the same Thread Border Router s , do NOT use the SkyConnect or HA Yellow in this case as the Apple network will provide better coverage and reliability until we manage to make the SkyConnect part of the Apple created thread network to act as an additional route. Hi, Have you gotten any further with this? This will enable dual control via Home Assistant and Homekit. So in theory your house could have multiple isolated Thread networks. I do not see the energy values in the device and have tried rebooting, soft resetting etc. When I did all of the above and the first 2 steps were critical , it finally paired. I can ping that address from my machine. When paired directly with Homekit not through HA the power readouts are as expected. But, no clue!

All reactions. There is an option under the thread configuration to change channel. Thread is not used at the moment. Check your WiFi gear and disable stuff like multicast enhancements and the likes like with IGMP snooping, it may help or hinder per vendor If your router has some option called mDNS proxy, or "multicast dns", disable it. Bluetooth dongle should work. It could happen again, that is why we still mark Matter as BETA ;- While the standard and devices are making huge leaps forward I will not yet call it ready for primetime just yet and you're getting the side effects of being an early adopter :- All reactions. However - when the power plug is on or off for a few days, Home Assistant loses the connection. Are you using a Bluetooth dongle? This thing can measure power consumption. I also cannot add Eve Energy products to HA. Notify of. If you delete the device that way, it will also be removed from the Matter controller and from HA. On a separate note, tvOS The device was still available and useable in HomeKit while simultaneously being unavailable in HA.
