Little is known about Ethiron other than that they are the Drowned God of wind, pressure and sky. Chaser describes New Kyrsa as like a bedchamber to Ethiron, with the Kyrsgarde working hard to keep them asleep. Ethiron seemingly emits a fog known as Mist Presence, which eventually brainwashed them and the Lost Divers into worshipping them and devoting themselves to helping the Scion of Ethiron grow. Ethiron is one of the most powerful beings in Deepwoken due to being a Drowned God, the phenomena in Layer 2 showing some of their tremendous powers despite being in a state of "sleep".

If you've entered Second Layer through Castle Light , you'll have a light hook, which is your safety net, allowing you to die in Second Layer and be sent back to Castle Light at the cost of being unable to bring anything from Second Layer with you. This light hook lasts 20 minutes. However, with each expedition the hook degrades, and needs to recharge. The amount of time for the light hook to be fully recharged, you need to wait however long you were in Second Layer with the light hook plus minutes For example if you use 10 minutes of your light hook you must wait 18 minutes in realtime before the light hook is fully recharged. If you kill Chaser it will get back the 20 minutes once you escape, this also works with the Scion of Ethiron.
