His name may be derived from the river Eridanos , which was poured onto the Earth by Aquarius in Greek myth, or may derived from the constellation Eridanus. Alternatively, Eridan may have been based off of the user Terin's name for Alternia, which was Eridani. This is also the name of a star in the Aquarius constellation [citation needed].
