Mr Sherry, who was one of two suspected gunmen involved in the Christmas Eve shooting, suffered fatal injuries during the incident.

A man in his 20s has died and another man has been seriously injured after a shooting in a Dublin restaurant. The attack happened in Browne's Steakhouse in Main Street in Blanchardstown at about local time. The two men were taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, where the man in his 20s was pronounced dead. It has not yet been confirmed whether or not he was shot.
