Doom shotgunner
Last time, you decided that ricochet attacks are better than blue shadows on dodges and dashes, doom shotgunner. I expected this outcome but am still glad to see a good quarter of you favoured cool essence over cool effort.
What would you think if it were real? I'd like it. Would it be easier or harder to take down than a chaingunner? Honestly, if I were to add a Zombieman, it'd probably be a rocket launcher guy instead. However a super-shotgun guy would be neat, mostly used for gotcha! It is real , thanks to Realm When people start to augment the zombie crew, their popularity is below variants like the rocket zombie, plasma zombie, heavier chaingunners, and even BFG and chainsaw zombies.

The Shotgun Guys referred to as Former Human Sergeants in the game manuals, or just Sergeants are a second type of zombified Human the player encounters in the games. The Shotgun Guys look almost similar to their Zombieman counterparts. The main difference is that they appear as red-eyed bald men wearing bloodstained, gray-black clothes, armed with a shotgun. Shotgun Guys emit the same sounds produced by the Zombiemen when alerted. They will make one of the three animalistics roars when spotting the player, a pained groaning sound when taking fire, and a quiet moan while it is active. The Shotgun Guys are overall, similar to the Zombiemen , but are slightly faster, have more health, and do much more damage from their shotgun blasts than the Zombiemen's rifles. Their shotgun, however, is less powerful than the player's shotgun : one round produces only three pellets instead of seven, and each pellet inflicts slightly less damage on average. After firing, the monsters move again, though sometimes they may attack almost immediately afterwards. While Shotgun Guys do not have an animation for pumping their shotgun they do have one in Brutal DOOM though , it is assumed that they do so, as they produce a shotgun-cocking noise immediately after shooting. When killed, the Shotgun Guys let out the same death cries emitted by a Zombiemen - assuming they are not gibbed , which is common, considering their relatively low number of hit points. Their death animation is in the same fashion as the Zombiemen: chest and abdomen bursting open in a bloody mess, lower jaw partially torn down, corpse falling abruptly on his back.
Should offer a pretty substantial challenge. A pump-action scalpel.

I am sure this guy is former sergeant aka Shotgunner from original DooM series and his name is John Stalvern Look at the similarities people. So does it mean, Shotgunner is the only enemy who has a real name after all. You're new, so I get it. In the future, just hit and type the person's name in, or quote a part of the post. The pump-action single-barrel shotgun is one of the most versatile and useful weapons in the Doom player's arsenal. It is first found in a secret area of E1M1: Hangar or possibly taken from a former human sergeant on the upper two skill levels , then in a non-secret area on E1M2: Nuclear Plant. A shotgun contains 8 shells when picked up 16 shells on the "I'm too young to die" and "Nightmare! Shotguns looted from the corpses of shotgun wielding zombies contain 4 shells 8 on ITYTD and NM and, unlike pre-existing shotguns, disappear when crushed beneath doors or moving ceilings. The player's shotgun fires seven pellets, each of which inflicts points of damage for a total of points of damage per shot, provided that all pellets connect against the target. Each pellet has the same random directional offset as a pistol shot, which gives an aggregate horizontal spread between 2. Unlike the super shotgun of Doom II , which spreads pellets in a rough cone, there is no vertical dispersal; presumably this was a consequence of the game engine's predominantly planar design. The shotgun packs a deadly punch at close range, and the grouping of the pellets is tight enough to make the weapon useful for medium-range attacks. In a pinch, the shotgun can be used for sniping, though the spread of the pellets makes it hard to do much damage at long range.

Ultimate Doom. Should offer a pretty substantial challenge. While increasing difficulty overall, their dropped shotguns also greatly increase the number of shells available to the player. Share this post Link to post. Any resulting errors are probably toward the single-shot average, as they introduce noise into the correlation between the indices of "consecutive" calls. Their shotgun, however, is less powerful than the player's shotgun : one round produces only three pellets instead of seven, and each pellet inflicts slightly less damage on average. MAP Plant Ops. Inelegant, maybe? But who would entertain these questions when knee-deep in the dead? Main article: Doom 64 monsters Former human sergeant.
The shotgun aka Pump Shotgun [1] is one of the most versatile and useful weapons in the Doom player 's arsenal, equipped in all classic Doom games. It's a pump-action shotgun with a wooden stock. It has an old-fashioned look and is first found in a secret area of E1M1: Hangar or possibly taken from a Shotgun Guy on the upper two skill levels , then in a non-secret area on E1M2: Nuclear Plant.
I disagree. The shotgun's main disadvantages are the slow rate of reloading which can leave the player vulnerable to counterattacks, especially in tight corridors , the pellet spread which weakens it at long range and the fact that the gun is difficult to use against tougher enemies such as a baron of Hell for inexperienced players, especially in large numbers. We've got but shotgun guy. The player's shotgun generally kills individual shotgun guys at medium and long ranges, and can occasionally kill two or more with one shot at close range. It cuts through swarms. The shotgun is considered a light-medium weapon, stronger than the fists or pistols, so it is generally good for dealing with small groups of humanoids, and the occasional tough monster scattered in mazes. Put it in the project ideas thread instead! Maybe if every other shot fired two pellets instead of one? But it can be a good monster if you want to use it. Terms of Use.
