Doctor Otto Gunther Octavius is a nuclear scientist and inventor of a set of mechanical limbs to help his experiments. Unfortunately, the tentacles fused to Octavius' body in a lab accident, and their artificial intelligence corrupted his brain. However, Doctor Octopus was resurrected and teleported through the Multiverse due to Doctor Strange 's failed spell. Here, Doctor Octopus encountered that universe's version of Spider-Man and battled with him, but was defeated and sent to the New York Sanctum.

Su padre, Torbet Octavius, era un obrero borracho que pagaba sus frustraciones con el joven Otto. Por ese motivo se puso el apodo de Doctor Octopus.
