In partnership with Mayfield Park and Freight Island, The Depot mayfield christmas lights Trail will be the perfect inner-city Christmas destination designed for all ages, depot mayfield christmas lights, from families, couples, groups, and everyone in between. The budget-friendly festive destination is strategically located in city centre, just a short 5-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station providing easy transport link including trains, trams and buses. This festive season, Mayfield Park hosts The Twilight Trail — an enchanting winter light show running up until Sunday 31 December, as part of the Winter Island experience. And yes, that is Freight Island neatly renamed for the season. The Twilight Trail is the perfect inner-city Christmas destination for all ages, from families to couples, groups, and everyone in between. Beginning the journey at Mayfield Park, visitors will finish the minute trail at Freight Island, which has once again become Winter Island this year. More experiences come in the form of live performances, a Santa Paws dog show and a wreath making workshop with Northern Lights. As the night draws in, and the hats and gloves come out, attention turns to the festive events enticing us to leave the warmth and venture outside. Arriving into the park, visitors will immediately be treated to some disco vibes thanks to a soundtrack curated by much-loved Manchester based collective La Discotheque. To celebrate the first ever Twilight Trail, La Discotheque has invited the internationally acclaimed DJ and Producer Kenny Dope to soundtrack the light trail as visitors immerse themselves with the special mix. The path leads to a magical wonderland, boasting a giant modern cone-style Christmas tree surrounded by huge Christmas presents. The Twilight Trail is also hosting a range of festive traders including a mulled wine bar, Jubel Beer Bar and a hot chocolate hut serving up the festive must-have with Chantilly cream and sticky toffee pudding. Tickets are free for accompanying adults. On Wednesday it is open Dec only 4. Tickets are booked in advance with suggested arrival times. Guests are welcome to stay as long as they would like and move between The Twilight Trail and Freight Island. Under 2s go free across all dates.
