The Denver Broncos are going to evaluate all of the top quarterback prospects in this year's draft class, but if they do not trade up they currently hold the 12th overall pick within the first round of April's draft to take a QB, Jarrett Stidham would get the first shot to be their starter under center for the season. There are some in the Broncos building that are intrigued by what Stidham has to offer at the position, but it's clear that he isn't considered the long-term answer at QB. Because of the salary cap predicament the Broncos are in in , they don't really have the funds necessary to go after Kirk Cousins, for instance.

The Broncos might end up playing Jones at nose especially if Purcell is a cap casualty , so Denver will likely draft another end, at the very least to provide more depth on the defensive line. The Broncos are expected to give Browning a look at outside linebacker this spring, which might make Singleton an early favorite to start next to Jewell by default. Browning has more long-term upside, though. Denver has pretty good depth on the edge, but with Chubb and Reed both scheduled to become free agents next year, the Broncos will probably draft another pass rusher later this month. The Broncos have some really good talent at cornerback, but they clearly need more depth. Denver will probably draft at least one cornerback and the team will likely sign several undrafted free agent corners as well. The Broncos are looking pretty good at safety after re-signing Kareem Jackson to a one-year deal. The Broncos have eight picks to use in the NFL draft, including a second-round pick and a pair of third-round picks.
