Though they've brought new warriors in throughout the war, some Transformers have been around since the very beginning. In the two main comics — the original Marvel Transformers series and the original IDW comics — some of the oldest Decepticons have existed for millions of years. Several Decepticons are even older than Megatron, choosing to join his cause because of their belief in his convictions. Within the IDW timeline, Scorponok is over four million years old, predating the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Before the war, Scorponok spent much of his time fighting as a gladiator.
