The DayZ Launcher is loading servers very slowly because it filters out Chinese servers on the fly and all servers must be loaded. The workaround of filtering out Chinese servers on the Launcher side does not seem like a good solution. You can see in the video from that the loading is faster because there are no Chinese servers to filter out by DayZ Launcher, dayz launcher. It takes 4 minutes to load the server list with only 4, dayz launcher because loading Chinese servers takes 3 minutes even though they are filtered out.

This is an experimental launcher script for DayZ standalone on Linux when running the game via Proton. Proton is currently unable to start the game's own regular launcher application which sets up mods and launch parameters for the game client. The game however does work fine when launching the client directly, so mods can be set up and configured manually, which is what this script does, similar to what the launcher would do. Workshop mods will therefore need to be subscribed manually via the web browser. A URL for each missing mod will be printed to the output.
