They toy with mortals for their enjoyment or to gain power. Just like Daedric Artifacts, not all Daedric Princes are created equal, but all do feature in Skyrim. Updated July 23, by Jake Fillery: Mortals all praise their own Daedra, and the most powerful Daedric Princes often fight and class for their worshippers to remain in eternal servitude. Every Daedric Prince appears in Skyrim in one way or another, and as good as it is to rank the strongest Daedric Princes, some players might want to know where to find Daedra in Skyrim. Considering there are around 17 known Daedric Princes, it can be overwhelming for Skyrim players to catalog the strongest and the weakest of the bunch. Luckily, they can find what they seek here, with the addition of every Daedric quest in Skyrim that will have the player come face to voice with a powerful Lord and their chosen Daedric artifact. There was a time in the Elder Scrolls timeline when Jyggalag was unquestionably the strongest Daedric Prince in the franchise. His power was so vast that the other Daedra conspired against him, cursing him with his alter ego Sheogorath. Even with his curse broken, the Prince still needs to regain his power. Based on his complete absence in Skyrim , it's safe to say that Jyggalag's power is still in its infancy. To obtain the dreaded sword of Jyggalag, players will first need to reach the quest: Resorting Order. They do not know the mortal sense of "good" and "evil", and usually have extremist tendencies, which is why Men and Mer fear them greatly. However, several princes do seem to take genuine pleasure in tremendous acts of devastation, in particular Boethiah, Molag Bal, Vaermina, Mehrunes Dagon, and Peryite. Although the beings are considered evil by most, they are widely worshipped in the realms of Tamriel.
The Daedric Quests are quests that are completed at the request of one of the Daedric Princes , for some kind of reward, usually a Daedric artifact. Daedric Quests are not considered Side Quests. Most of the Daedric quests also have an associated "Pointer Quest", which is a miscellaneous quest objective you may be given that leads you to the actual Daedric quest. It is not always necessary to obtain the Pointer Quest before starting the main quest, but it is the most likely way that you will find out about the Daedric quest. In some cases, you can start the actual Daedric quest by simply visiting the shrine or other location where a Daedric worshipper can be found. Most of the quests can only be removed from your 'to do' journal upon completion. However, a few of the quests can be failed.

There are 17 Daedric Princes sometimes referred to as the Daedric Lords , and each of them oversees their own realm in Oblivion.
