As I was about to leave stop number four I lamented that fact to the sales guy and he said, "Well, don't you know how to make a matte sheen?. Well, yes, rub it out with polishing compound or steel wool, but that's a pain. To which he responds, "No, just add some corn starch to your finish. Works with nearly anything. I've never heard of doing that.
