Theatre Lab, the professional resident company of Florida Atlantic University, has announced the season of new work, including a Florida premiere Heckscher Theatre for Families production; a three-play MainStage Series — a United States, Florida and world premieres; as well as the annual New Play Festival. Tickets and season subscriptions are available at Theatre Lab will once again begin the season with its Heckscher Theatre for Families production. The show is a heartfelt comedy for all ages which follows Jasmine, a year-old genius, who, to get her divorced parents back together, invents a time machine. In addition to performances for school groups during the week, Theatre Lab will offer public performances of the show on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p. Free creative writing workshops for students ages 8 to 17 will be offered one hour prior to public performances.

Each reading is accompanied by a post-show discussion, an opportunity to interact with the playwrights themselves, where they will discuss the process, inspiration, and plans for future development. Fate has a playful sense of humor in this whimsical comedy that celebrates the magic of unlikely connections. This group of students in grades were recommended by teachers at partner schools and spent the month of January working with playwright Jeff Bower The Impossible Task of Today , to create original short plays. Now, as part of the New Play Festival, these students will work with professional directors and actors to further develop their scripts for a first public reading - some of which will go on to be part of the one-night only performance of original student work in May of As their stories mesh and meld, the true interconnectivity of the world is revealed along with the desperate need to free truth from the shadows to help break down the walls and let in the light. Navigating the ins and outs of the Latine culture, forced masculinity, and complete avoidance of mental wellness in order to be who he was expected to be, and what the outcome of that was, he confronts his eating disorders and mental health by attempting to literally EAT THE WORLD. But that was only the beginning of the story. Babs and Harold, a transgender couple in s Virginia, think they've found the solution to their unhappiness: if in their transitions, they take on their spouse's identity, they can live out their ideal lives with no one catching on. He is known for his sketch comedy, Coulda Been Records, and collaborating with various musicians in their music videos , including Jack Harlow , [1] Drake , [2] Lil Yachty , and others. He played sports as a child and mostly stayed out of trouble, except in the classroom when he would make jokes. Desbordes was always funny and used to make his parents laugh speaking in different accents. His family introduced him to the world of comedy at an early age, as his parents watched popular comedians on television, such as Cedric The Entertainer and Dave Chappelle.
