Finding something the whole family can watch during the holidays is a perennial challenge. Now, a few generations later, they live together in a magical house and each member develops their own talent, like the ability to control the weather, shapeshift into other people, and talk to animals. Each bedroom is magically tailored to the relative and their magical gift. All except for one, Mirabel Stephanie Beatriz. The conflict is minimal at best, which allows for Mirabel to spend more time learning about what she can do despite her lack of powers, but it also leaves the movie feeling a bit meandering. To make up for lost action, the movie shines in its animation and design, really making use of the house with doors to new worlds and musical sequences that allow for a little more abstract artistic freedom.

Yet, the puzzles, the mystery, colombia mi encanto musical opiniones, and that usual Walt Disney fervor is a little tamer in this film, and I would have liked a little more of that sauce to break things up and give that punch that I quite enjoy. Another was how everyone would love Mirabel and think she's the glue that holds the family together.

Members of the Madrigal family and their gifts are built on familiar archetypes. Her oldest sister Isabela is the golden child, so flowers bloom with every step she takes. And their nurturing mother Julieta cooks food that can heal actual ailments. And from their earliest conversations, the filmmakers knew they shared a desire to tell a story featuring an extended family. June 18, Colombia also has a rich tradition of magical realism — where magic is just a facet of everyday reality — and it offered the filmmakers a way to heighten the familiar family dynamics they wished to explore through a magic not yet seen in Disney films. It was just really exciting to play in that realm.

Alan Tudyk as Pico voice. Helping diversify the mixture of music, comes the nonmusical works, a score that again blends the festive nature of Latin culture and guides it towards serious sequence moments and festive parties. MissSimonetta 17 January Encanto When Pedro Madrigal dies as his family flees armed conflict, his widow Alma and their triplets find protection behind a magic spell which creates a barrier behind which they are safe and brings their home to life, embodied in an everlasting magical candle. That's a powerful scene. And, for me, two big flaws. You either love it or find it on the lower end of the Disney spectrum, but either way, it's not a terrible film Strength is about knowing the ethical thing to do, even if it challenges tradition. Way too many characters that contribute nothing. The voice cast do good work. Seagrass Brian Tallerico. Soon the mythos starts to leak into other elements and brings with it a grand display of the values and nuances that my limited studies have suggested they value. Mirabel is a winning lead character and loved how all the characters had strong individual personalities. I loved the simple ways they used their abilities to help their community, and make life in their small village better. I also like the part when Mirabel is going to save the family and she says something funny.

The Heart: Encanto is a very relevant film to me, and like Disney does, has some great lessons that don't cross the political lines for me. I loved the simple ways they used their abilities to help their community, and make life in their small village better. She feels left behind. The Madrigals live in a magic house under the protection of an everlasting magic candle. Yet, the puzzles, the mystery, and that usual Walt Disney fervor is a little tamer in this film, and I would have liked a little more of that sauce to break things up and give that punch that I quite enjoy. Basically, they are afraid of messing up the magic so they mess up the magic. I foresee many more movies akin to this in the future. Having said that, for a milestone Disney film which on paper promises greatness part of me was expecting something more. I mean, it's a very nice movie, don't get me wrong, but it's not a star movie in my opinion. It has some heart, some fantastic visuals, great animation, an intriguing premise, and as expected wonderful vocal performances. It feels like an exploration of a new context for a Disney film. Perhaps it's the amount I heard people talking about "We Don't Talk About Bruno" that made me think these were going to be remarkable tunes that would rival the greats of Disney past, but they didn't quite get there for me. A few things were predictable Impressive movie. The story of a homeland lost and the family who rebuilt in a new land is not an uncommon one for many immigrant families, and by sensitively including it as part of a charming Disney movie, perhaps will give a new generation a better sense of belonging or at least the comfort that others have shared their experience.
