Calgary is one of our favourite places to visit — and even more so now that my sister in law and her family recently moved there. Staff walking around will give you food. In the animal area, there is also staff that walk around with the snakes, a tortoise that you will find moseying around, as well as sugar gliders that hang out with the staff. There is also a large area that has picnic tables for you to enjoy a picnic along with a concession that offers a variety of food options such as hamburgers, chicken fingers, and poutine as well as refreshments. There are 2 options when choosing admission and it all depends on what you are looking to experience. If you do want to try one of the premium activities you can purchase tokens. This option is best suited for kids and kids at heart that want to try every activity in the park. There are also several evening and events that they are open for. We have gone to great lengths to ensure the proper comfort and care of all of these animals. Too often people buy exotic animals without thinking long term. Many of these animals will outgrow their space and outlive their owners. As a result, exotic animals are frequently sold and resold, and sadly often inhumanely disposed of. Until now, there has not been one local rescue that is designed to handle exotic animals and give them the unique attention they need, offer them a permanent home, and offer hands-on education programs to schools and the public, teaching them about these fascinating creatures. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing exotic animals rehabilitation, a loving forever home, proper nutrition and veterinary care. It is a great privilege and responsibility to be involved with these animals and we could use your help!
