On the cover of this issue, her hair was rendered as dark green and her gown white. Here she was illustrated in a white gown and with green hair, just as she was on the cover of Showcase She was presented as a precarious ally of Superman and Supergirl, although one who occasionally lapsed into full villainy.

It was said that she was the daughter of the Sun himself and that her radiance was a gift to man. That her beauty had no parallel. She was wedded to the heir to one of the wealthiest kingdoms in the Caucasus, but he was a brute, drunk, and liar man, so she saw him as an animal, and finally killed him. And so began the legend of the witch Circe. It is said in legend that Circe is the most beautiful woman who has ever lived. She, powered by immeasurable magic, influenced the world of men from afar. She was mighty, indeed, but somewhere along the way, Circe lost her very soul long ago, she traded her soul to a dimension of Hell. And no matter how many spells she cast thereafter, how hard she searched, she could not regain it. She achieved the pinnacle this world could offer in the 2nd Century BCE , over two thousand years ago. The planet's colors would fade gradually ever after.

Still possessing some of Donna's false memories, she teleported herself to Diana in order to help her in her battle, but was unable to defeat the White Magician. Circe later concocted another plan in trying to destroy Diana by disguising as a mortal lawyer named Donna Milton, a persona she planned to use to get close enough to Diana in order to kill her when her defenses were low. She allied herself with Magog and used her magical abilities to manipulate Superman into battling Wonder Woman. Circe enacted a plan to destroy the spirit of the earth, Gaea , thus leading to the crossover War of the Gods , which required the gathering of all of Earth's superheroes. Circe then revealed to Cale that her daughter's soul was not in the soulstone as she previously believed. Eventually Circe would be called upon by Diana to use Hecate's power to trap the spirit of the Upside-Down Man , while Circe feared it may have meant the destruction of her garden and its residents that she created, she ultimately helped to imprison the Upside-Down Man. Later, Circe caused Queen Hippolyta to forget who she was and instead embrace the false life of a domestic housewife. Wonder Woman v3 3 This saw her transforming herself into a superpowered form where she came to be the new Wonder Woman who freed women from around the world whilst killing men for wrong doings. Whilst imprisoned in the mirror, Circe used her power to great a garden like sanctuary and found some peace in caring for the wildlife she had created there. However, to Circe's annoyance, her plans still depends on Raven , Trigons daughter, doing what Trigon intended, something the young empath has fought her entire life to prevent, subsequently having earned Circe's ire as well for disrupting her plans. She attempted to goad Diana into killing her, but Diana spared her instead.

The ancient Amazons were brought down by Heracles , and Antiope led half the Amazons against Athens--but the city was not destroyed, as Theseus and Antiope reached a peace--and then were married. Diana and Hercules join together and mount an assault on Circe's island and base of Aeaea. At first, her sorcery was ineffective beyond the confines of the island and Circe used the seductive songs of sirens to draw wayward seafarers to Aeaea. She achieved the pinnacle this world could offer in the 2nd Century BCE , over two thousand years ago. Diana was unsuccessful however as Circe managed to ambush her and take control of her body, trapping her once more on the moon plane. DK Publishing.
