His hands and face are magenta, and he also sports six magenta shards on his back, two on his chest, and one on the top of his head that resembles a horn. His face consists of a mouth and one large green eye at the center. In Heroes United , Chromastone had green teeth and some of his dark lines were missing.

The Secret of Chromastone is the sixteenth episode of the second season of Ben Alien Force , and the forty-second episode overall. Ben meets up with Tetrax but is caught off guard when Tetrax demands that he give him Chromastone. Before Ben has chance to explain, Tetrax attacks. The episode begins with Ben having a cold and Kevin driving him to Mr. Kevin purchases a smoothie for Ben in order to make his cold remedy go down better. Ben drinks it and the taste of the smoothie is terrible. Then, a ship lands next to the car and the team gets out. Tetrax , Ben's old ally and friend when he was 10, exits from the ship. Tetrax grabs him, demanding that he give him Chromastone. Tetrax throws Ben on the ground, and he asks him what he wants with Chromastone. Tetrax then tries to transform Ben into Chromastone, but Ben transforms into Diamondhead instead, angering Tetrax. However, Tetrax senses Chromastone's essence within Diamondhead, but before he can explain, Kevin and Gwen approach Tetrax for attacking and are easily defeated. Tetrax is left with no other choice and uses a sonic device to shatter Diamondhead and reveals a Crystalsapien inside. Tetrax gives the Crystalsapien a back-up crystal that alters the colors of his crystals from magenta to red.
