I'm hoping someone with access to schematics reads your post because maybe I could also benefit from their help. Put switch to the on position, test the terminals for continuity, two should be connected with switch on and disconnected with switch off. One of these should be soldered to battery positive wire, and other to wire from things which need power with ignition on such as horn, starter button, lights. Doesn't matter which way round you solder them. Other two wires, earth and kill, will go onto the other two terminals, again doesn't matter which way.
